National Network of Buddhist Youth have concluded its council meet from 1-3rd April 2011, at Nagpur Office.
All these three days the council members discussed and focused on the following major issues.
- extension of council body
- nasik land project
- bihar girls education project
- nnby’s karuna funding
- yearly planning , program and action
- formation of maharashtra team
- finalised the next council meet date and veneu etc
The
members observed that due to the expansion of NNBY in various states
and its other activities , They took the decision to expand the council
body to work more fruitfully and distribute the responsibilities to our
various leaders. In the process we took the various representation from
the different potential state and regions. In the extension we have
added another 11 member in it , which are as follows.

The yearly planning has also been chalked out in which various trainings and workshops has been organised for the trainers and members of NNBY in the central office and also in other parts of the states of India. Likewise Regioanl and National Convention has also been planned in Borharan and Bodhagaya respectively.
In the Aundhewadi, near Nasik, NNBY got the land, in which NNBY proposed the plan to construct the Youth Training Institute and Dhamma Retreat Centre in the coming year.
The Bihar Girls Project has also been in the pipeline, in which NNBY proposing that to adopt 6 Bihar girls for the Graduation course in Maharashtra, along with this we have to look after their living, food and miscellaneous expenses. With this opportunity we are trying to give exposure to these girls for their development. For this NNBY is preparing the independent proposal which we will send you seprately.
Lastly , the next council meet has been finalised , which will take
place in the month of July, (22-25)’ 2011, in Nagpur NNBY office.
We are very much thankful all the members of council body and members of NNBY for there cooperation for the above.

During these three days it focused on strengthening friendship, team
building, leadership development and deciding strategies for
sustainability of organization. The council also unanimously appointed
Kumarjeev and Chetan as its president and secretary respectively for
NNBY. This meeting also defined the responsibilities of the council in
various aspects that contributes towards growth and sustainability of
the organization. The council also working on the vision statement,
which is “The world were we grow together with mutual love”. The meeting
was facilitated by Dh. Kumarjeev, who also talked on Team building were
he emphasized on four aspects of an organization i.e.
Personal mastery
Mental models
Shared vision
Team learning or building.
The
council member also worked in the group and brainstorms on the above
issues and gave their valuable suggestion for it’s grow shared the
different work on the priority base which is going to be done in 2010.
Some of the major issues which dealt here is :
- National Convention of 2010
- Planner of the activities of the year
- Fund raising and budgeting.
- Networking with task group and different organization
- Advertising/promotion/publication of organization and its activities
